(D) creatures of the seabed that were suffering from food supplies that were dwindling, possibly resulting from an increase in
(E) creatures of the seabed that were suffering because food supplies were dwindling, which possibly resulted from increasing

A前面的意思和B差不多,最大的区别在于A用increasing sea surface temperature,重点强调温度,而B用an increase in sea surface temperature,强调温度的上升,导致这些动物食物短缺的原因是温度的上升而不是温度本身,B更好一些。C如果用which were dwindling就强调dwindling这个动作的发起者和前面动词的发起者不一样了,which应该指food supplies,B用food supplies were dwindling而C用 food supplies, which were dwindling ,人类都可以知道B更好。
